Keeping Score
North Olmsted Hockey Club relies on team volunteers to help keep score with games. For home games, each team will need to have someone assigned to keep score on the score sheet as well as operate the score board.
A quick reference guide has been created outlining the most common actions when operating the score board. This guide will also be kept at the scorers table for reference..
Score Board Operation
Scoring a Game with GameSheet on an iPad
The club has two (2) iPads available for scoring games. Team managers and/or coaches are available to help volunteers get the iPads prior to each game. When each game is finished and scoring results are uploaded to GameSheet, please return iPads to their secured location or a coach/team manager.
For any issues with iPads used to score games, please reach out to webadmin at nohc.net.
Scoring with a Paper Scoresheet and Worksheet
Non-league games / exhibitions are often scored on a paper sheet. CSHL provides PDFs of paper scoresheets and worksheets to print for use.
Tournaments often use paper scoresheets which are provided by the tournament organizers in a triplicate carbon copy format.
When using paper scoresheets, it is often easier to have printed stickers for your team's roster vs. writing in the players and coaches. Use the attached Excel template for populating and printing a team's roster stickers on Avery 6427 shipping label stickers.
