The North Olmsted 8U Mite Spring League is to foster a fun, inclusive, and developmentally focused environment where young athletes can enhance their skills, develop a passion for the game, and build sportsmanship. Through friendly competition, and teamwork, we aim to provide an enjoyable experience that encourages growth on and off the ice, while promoting the values of respect, discipline, and perseverance. Our goal is to help each player reach their full potential in a supportive and positive atmosphere, creating lifelong memories and a love for the game of hockey.

2025 Mite Spring League Registration

Birth Year 2017 and Younger

Some Formal Hockey and Skating Experience Required

No Elite Teams/Rosters

Max 12 Skaters/2 Goalies

Official Team Roster Required and Must Approved Prior to Season Start

No Subs

(Registration Closes 3/9/2025)

We plan to have the following levels

● 4-6 Team Red Division

(Red/White skaters current season)

● 4-6 Team White Division

(Blue skaters in current season)

● 4-6 Team Blue Division

(Low Blue/Mitey Mite/LTP skaters in current season)

All Games held at North Olmsted Recreation Center

All teams will plan to play an 8 game schedule.

1 or 2 Games a Week Except Friday.

General Rules and Information

1/2 Ice Games with Divider Boards or Divider Bags

Blue Pucks

2 Minute No Puck Warmup

Three 14 min stop clock periods

(This is a curfew rink, running clock may be used if needed.)

Face off at the start of each period.

Buzzer for line changes every 2 minutes

All levels will use intermediate/ADM nets

Basic CSHL ADM Format

No Formal Score Kept

Red and White Level Games

Games will be played with 4 skaters and a goalie

Goalie equipment required

Blue Level Games

Games played with 3v3 or 4v4 with one additional player in net. Coaches agree on number of players before the game or it defaults to 3v3
